Jessica creates her lovely serene pottery in Petaluma, California, at the southern edge of Sonoma County wine country.
Originally from Pennsylvania, where she grew up in her family’s landscaping business, she studied at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia before graduating from Penn State University with a BFA in Ceramics.
All of Jessica's work is hand-thrown on a wheel or hand-built using stoneware and porcelain clays. Her work is lively yet soothing, combining practical functionality with modern geometric designs and calming glazes in the colors of the Northern California landscape.
Her signature high-contrast original sgraffito patterns are etched by hand into the warm black surfaces.
Jessica says, "Pots embody our sacred commonalities such as family, food, and self expression, feeding the body as well as the soul. They offer a unique tactile experience, and I really enjoy creating art with an everyday purpose and function."
