Kathleen Maley

California native Kathleen Maley has been making jewelry and art objects for over 15 years. After studying jewelry and metalsmithing at San Diego State University, she moved to join the dynamic community of artists in San Francisco.

Her work has been influenced by the sweeping lines and forms of the Bay Area's dramatic coastal landscapes, as well as the constant energetic changes in the city around her. From her Mission District studio she creates distinctive modern designs that highlight the contrast between sterling silver and high karat gold vermeil. She exhibits her work at shows, museum shops, and galleries across the country.

Kathleen says, "I enjoy the process of making jewelry, and I think that comes through in my designs. I try to create work that is fresh and unexpected in its relationship to the body, and will engage and delight the wearer.”
