Northern California artist Cuong Ta has spent decades refining his pottery craft and design vision. He relies on the resist technique of negative glazing to apply abstract graphic imagery to slab-built vases, and adds architectural accents using bold cutaway shapes. His glazes feature complex speckling for added interest and impact. This dramatic piece can be used decoratively, or with fresh or dried flowers (not included). Elliptical vase is 16" tall and 11" wide.
